Have a great day and GOD BLESS!
Speaker Steve Suthers: That, I did not realize that much about bumpstead until I did a deep dive on him the other day. You know he won his first show? Went overall his first show. Yeah. Well, like this. Oh, okay. I get good.
Speaker Blake Burnard: He got that popular without winning a
Speaker Steve Suthers: a show. No. He won his first overall show. Blake, normally, Tom would tell you fast track. Most of the guys that are fast tracked to the top, they win their first show. Like, they just show up and they're everybody's like, I don't know how this dude doesn't know what he's doing, but he's so much better than everybody else himself.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Oh, you're saying he did.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yeah.
Speaker Blake Burnard: What’s up guys? Welcome to muscle matters. I'm Blake Bernard. This is mister Steve Suthers. And today we thought we'd kind of spice things up a little bit. We're going to be I mean, just honestly doing a random internet search to, search some of the most relevant fitness influencers in the year of our lord twenty twenty three and determine if they are natty or not by our own eye. And then secondly, if they are wick with oil or not.
Speaker Steve Suthers: You know, they they said that Saudi, you know, Saudi money's good in the body building. You need a lot of oil.
Speaker Blake Burnard: That is true. You need a lot of oil. And, yeah, like Steve said, the oil is really good, especially not when your eyes train to discern whether or not they're packing.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Okay. Now what photoshopping is for.
Speaker Blake Burnard: That's absolutely right. And with enough rounding and smoothing out, you can make anything look natural. Right? Yes. So for the viewers at home that maybe aren't familiar with synthetic oils and their role in the bodybuilding industry, Steve, can you kinda fill them in?
Speaker Steve Suthers: Basically, what it is, it's, you Blake a bottle. Just picture Blake Western oil. I just keep it simple. Blake up to like Western oil. It's not Western oil. So please don't nobody go out there and shove corn oil in your body. It's it's biodegradable Blake blah blah blah blah. So it's just a bunch of oil and you shove it into the muscle. And what you're doing is you're causing it to band and grow. It's good. If you have an eighteen inch arm tomorrow, you have a twenty four inch arm. And, yeah, once we're gonna show up some pictures and you'll be able to see some of these lovely things, but, yeah, the oil is not loyal.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Well, I, I wanna interject they may not see it, you know, because a lot of these guys have it. Even No.
Speaker Steve Suthers: No. No. No. You can see it. You just don't wanna believe it because that's your hero.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Sure. That's exactly true. That's exactly true. And I think it's it's good also to discern between Blake what maybe just awesome genetics with some drugs. And then what's completely blown out of proportion. Guys, if you go Google this, you'll see some wacky stuff probably done in, dark alleys of tier one.
Speaker Steve Suthers: I wanna see that most think about the South American kids that, you know, come around, like, what was it? The, the Russian kid that had to go in his arms drain? Because they were gonna get fall off because he did so much. You know, so most people view Sinthal as some sort of gigantic blob. No. These there's actually Blake like a BBL. They do this synthol just like a BBL. There is a doctor that is injecting synthol into the arms just like a BBL There's a doctor that is shaping it. So it doesn't look like with the horror stories that you see on the internet.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Alex needs insert the image of spongebob with anchor arms. Right? That's what we're talking about here. Alright. Roll it Alex. Let's get to our first one. Okay? Chris bumpstead. Alright. Can we get some images of this guy? For those who, oh, no. We just have plugs to his YouTube channel. Well,
Speaker Steve Suthers: Okay. Chris is a genetic freak. Let's just say that. He's a genetic freak. The average person will never be able to look like that. The above average person will never be able to look like that. But with Chris being a genetic freak, what do you think?
Speaker Blake Burnard: I gotta see some pictures of this guy. Alex, can we at least throw up one?
Speaker Steve Suthers: Give give his I want you to look at his first.
Speaker Blake Burnard: It's not like I it's not like I'm
Speaker Steve Suthers: just trying to live my best. He's first Olympia. Olympia. So that he's been, what is he four time mister, mister, mister, mister Olympia, so let's back up four years ago. Two thousand nineteen Chris bumpstead, classic Olympia.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Okay. Steve might have a post for this
Speaker Steve Suthers: guy, but it was bad.
Speaker Blake Burnard: I might. Now,
Speaker Steve Suthers: see, is that the are we at the two thousand nineteen? Make sure it's two thousand nineteen.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Why, Steve?
Speaker Steve Suthers: You'll see. Two thousand nineteen. Okay. Look at that physique in two thousand nineteen.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Okay. Can I
Speaker Steve Suthers: get the shoulders? Look at the arms, look at the separation, how everything is separated. It's nice. Right? Type in two two thousand twenty three. Where did that arm go? Look at those shows?
Speaker Blake Burnard: Yeah. That's strikingly different, actually.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Now remember, this this particular body building class has a weight limit. Right. So with him being a taller body builder, classic body builder, he's allowed to be heavier. But he can't add anything muscular. Like, if you see him in the off season, he looks great. I mean, the the kid's a genetic foot
Speaker Blake Burnard: free.
Speaker Steve Suthers: But all you had to do is look at that nineteen and that twenty three. He was already at the top of his weight class in nineteen. But he's gotten bigger, and he hasn't spilled over his weight class.
Speaker Blake Burnard: K. So, Steve, what's the verdict? Is he Maddie?
Speaker Steve Suthers: Oh, yeah. He's he's he's naturally rolled up. Now, I I I no, don't get me wrong. I think he's a phenomenal athlete. I just personally don't like Syntthal. And that's just my personal dislike, because I just you lose a lot in the sport, but that's Steve nor there, we'll get off my high worst, and we'll go to the next one.
Speaker Blake Burnard: David Blake. Okay. This is a good one. Familiar with this guy. He gets recommended on my YouTube a lot. Tell me
Speaker Steve Suthers: a little bit about him.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Oh, dude. I don't know anything about him Suthers than, I think that kids really like him. He hangs out in the gym a lot. I don't know if he's a competitor, is he? I'd say not. Right?
Speaker Steve Suthers: Now, now does he claim that he?
Speaker Blake Burnard: I think they all do, don't they?
Speaker Steve Suthers: Mean, we could Google that as well. That's a heck of a taper for a natty guy. That's a heck of a photoshopping number too. That's what I was
Speaker Blake Burnard: just about to say. So I don't know. From now I'm not in the body building world like you are, but I'm in the fitness industry for quite a while. I don't know. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that that guy's not natural. Because, I mean, from the waist to about his chest. I'm like, okay. That looks normal. But then everything above that just looks completely disproportional. Correct?
Speaker Steve Suthers: You can't get that with beef liver peels and sarms. It's not happening. Yes. It it it's the, Steve how the skin does a blotchy thing?
Speaker Blake Burnard: Which what are we looking at?
Speaker Steve Suthers: Number one. Okay. See how his his skin does a blotchy thing.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Mhmm.
Speaker Steve Suthers: That's testosterone. Testosterone, makes your skin do a certain thing. You can even see it better on the larger picture. Okay. Testosterone Blake sure skin do a certain thing because it with increase the testosterone, you get to increase the estrogen. So you're going to hold more water. So it does a funny thing to your skin complexion. So it's kind of like a giveaway. What part of your is body are you pointing out right now? Well, what we were looking at was his shoulders to his shoulders to his shoulders to his arms.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Sorry, Paul. Do you want me to play that? Or that that's him. Chris late.
Speaker Steve Suthers: I mean video? No. I just it's just I'm just saying that's him young. I I mean, I I I would I will he looks like he's teens to early twenties. So he's ahead of the curve on a lot of things, and he's another gen zer. The gen zers, I'm I'm not mad at him. They make their money. Beautiful body. Beautiful body. Does he does he ever compete it? Or is he just a TikToker?
Speaker Blake Burnard: I it's my understanding that this guy got popular on
Speaker Steve Suthers: YouTube first. Okay. Doing straight You know the gen zs are gonna have a heart have a have a fill day with us for not knowing who this guy is.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. Man, I grew up on eighties action heroes.
Speaker Steve Suthers: You know
Speaker Blake Burnard: what I mean? They didn't look anything like that.
Speaker Steve Suthers: They didn't twinkle in the in the in the daylight.
Speaker Blake Burnard: That's a good. Okay. The next one's your favorite, dude. Okay. So, hey, David Blake? Now you're not. I'm gonna vote no, but I don't see I don't take him for an oil guy do you think?
Speaker Steve Suthers: He's he's not Natty. He's not running a high amount. Blake I said, he's definitely not on Sarms or anything like that. He's got something in his system. It's probably a l a lower, model, but he definitely has it in there.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Alright. It's alright.
Speaker Steve Suthers: The great mister Natural.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Okay. Simmy and Panda. Now there's no denying. This guy's got some incredible genetics. One hundred percent. However, do genetics build that? Look at, look at that third picture right there. On top.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yeah. He's absolutely Holy cow. Sydney is absolutely beautiful. But if you search the web, you will find sim Simi and Panda with a nice little cone on his nipple.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Can we
Speaker Steve Suthers: find one of those? You type in the word type in his name and type in Gyno. Oh, g y n o. Let's see. Oh, he might've got he might've scrubbed it. Oh, you Steve. He scrubbed it. The man is smart. He has scrubbed it. He has scrubbed it, but, yes, there was a distinct picture on the internet where he had a nice little cone, which happens. No, could it have just been a hot summer day? I seriously doubt it. You know, you might have, you know, you might have might have switched over to a soy. He might have switched over to soy. So he does increase your estrogen. Now I will say this. He's not an abuser. So he's not a high he's not a high gear guy. That is for sure. He's got a beautiful, beautiful body. I wish I had genetics like that.
Speaker Blake Burnard: I'm just thinking, man, if this guy would have turned to any other sport other than, this guy compete?
Speaker Steve Suthers: You know what? Yes. I think he'd I think he could beat it in the IMBA. I'm He was he blew up social media, and he's just never looked back, and he's made a ton of money. He's a good looking young man. He's well chiseled, well built. I mean, Heck, I wouldn't wear a shirt if I had looked like that.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Would you got would you take this guy to be an oil offender?
Speaker Steve Suthers: No. No. Not at all. Okay. Not at all. That the way the see how he's got the the definition of his arms, you can see each individual muscle belly. The the muscle is Steve, even in the off season photos where he's retaining the water, You can still see the precarious, the the bicep, the tricep. You can still see how everything separates. His shoulder doesn't over pop and over extend above, you'll see once we get to some of the oil based ones, how the shoulder just looks like, Hey, bro. How did that happen? But yeah, no, he he's definitely not natty. And
Speaker Blake Burnard: I think that's important to distinguish as well because I see a lot of the Natty or not videos on whatever YouTube Graham, where they go up to these guys at Fitzbos. Right?
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yeah. I hope
Speaker Blake Burnard: it's kind
Speaker Steve Suthers: of a, you know, I would give you
Speaker Blake Burnard: the same response.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yeah. I'd give you the same response too.
Speaker Blake Burnard: I'm Blake, you know, All I'm saying is some of these people just also hate because they can never look Blake.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Oh, yeah.
Speaker Blake Burnard: The one ninety percent.
Speaker Steve Suthers: And so
Speaker Blake Burnard: I love that you're you're finding though why you believe
Speaker Steve Suthers: that you're representing. On my best day, I could never look like this
Speaker Blake Burnard: man. Exactly. Exactly. And he
Speaker Steve Suthers: probably woke up looking like that. That's the sucky part.
Speaker Blake Burnard: I'm just saying I've, like, one of the things that put things in perspective for me was playing with 03:20 pounds of tackles with them.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Four fives?
Speaker Blake Burnard: Yeah. Exactly. You know, once you hang out while you do life with a bunch of freaky human beings, you know, it's it just I don't know. I the the what the what a lot of people consider outlandish, you know, that's their it's only coming from their frame of reference. I don't know. Some of these guys It
Speaker Steve Suthers: probably goes to McDonald's every day.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Yes. And the other thing is, that's
Speaker Steve Suthers: that's oh
Speaker Blake Burnard: my goodness. That is so true. Some of the freakiest human beings I've ever, you know, played sports with. Their their whole diet was scary
Speaker Steve Suthers: for roll ups.
Speaker Blake Burnard: You know what I mean? It's just bizarre. I don't know. That stuff puts things in perspective. And then can we talk about how the camera, how they frame them up? Makes them look massive when you're like, dude, that guy's five three.
Speaker Steve Suthers: I always tell that to people. I have a lot of the youngsters. They they talk about certain bodybuilders. And that I said, everybody in what that dude looks beautiful. Blake, you're like, oh my god, but then if Ronnie Coleman and his prime sit next to him, you'd be like, Hey, where'd that guy go? Yes. So all these guys look beautiful in their own light, but then when stand them up there next to another genetic freak you're Blake. Exactly.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Exactly. Oh,
Speaker Steve Suthers: he's the freak of the freaks.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Alright. Next. Sami and Panda, not natty, but not oiled. Blessing? I will do.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yes. Yes. He's the boogeyman. He made a big, he made a lot of really funny, videos And, on YouTube, it was really funny in the beginning. He did a lot of good things. He has a, a different type of personality. He's very outgoing. Just once again, he's one of those dudes that are just a freak alone, but when you stand up next to him, he he can't crock crack crack the top. Interesting. Now, he has I don't believe if you look at his body, he doesn't look like an oil baby. I see how everything has separation. Nothing is overly ex as we go down, you're gonna start seeing the oil babies, babies, and you're gonna be able to just go, like, Oh, like everything is rock solid. There's no slipping and sliding. There's there's nothing to break up the muscle.
Speaker Blake Burnard: How about ab inserts? Because that guy's abs look like a loaf of bread.
Speaker Steve Suthers: There was a, certain body builder that I believe did it, very popular bodybuilder, Raleigh Winkler. Really Winkler. I believed had, ab implants. Interesting.
Speaker Blake Burnard: How do you discern that one?
Speaker Steve Suthers: When you've got a perfect lock,
Speaker Blake Burnard: lock, lock, lock. It never moves.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Everything's locked. I'm not even gonna go with them. Everything moves. And then you have a roll on the side. Like, everything is a perfect six, but your side see how these sides are nice and tight?
Speaker Blake Burnard: Yes.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Rollies weren't tight like that. They rounded off to the side. Understood. Like, I'm like, oh, I know what that is. Alright. That's buffet.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Okay. So this guy, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say blessing is not Natty. But like you said, I see a lot of separation in the muscle belly.
Speaker Steve Suthers: I'm gonna say no oil.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Alright. Cool. Good for you, blessing.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yeah. Joyce Wall.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Okay. I got opinions on this guy.
Speaker Steve Suthers: As you go for it.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Alright. Well, I'm just this would have been this right here.
Speaker Steve Suthers: This would have been your era when you were in your twenties. He was the it man.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yeah. Well, I know
Speaker Blake Burnard: that Joyce Wallace wasn't he, was he a Shred's
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yes, Shred. Yeah. Shred. Shred was the
Speaker Blake Burnard: first one
Speaker Steve Suthers: to hit the market with an ambassador program. Oh, man. Yes. Capital d back.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Oh, man. Well, we already know based on was it his company? I can't remember.
Speaker Steve Suthers: No. It wasn't his company.
Speaker Blake Burnard: It
Speaker Steve Suthers: was actually, they they they did really good. They were the first ones hit the market. They were the first I mean, I remember going and, I'd worked booths. I, you know, I was working back then, and their booths was completely swapped. And the product was completely trashed. Yes. But they were the first ones that corner the the the YouTube Instagram market. They were these guys made these guys made a ton of money.
Speaker Blake Burnard: They might they made a killing. Got out. And man, they took a lot of money with them. So, alright, this guy Death. I'm just looking at his arms. Yes. This is gonna be the first guy I I I'm gonna predict oil. Steve those shoulders? Mhmm.
Speaker Steve Suthers: So how they sit up like that?
Speaker Blake Burnard: What do you mean sit up like that? Explain that. Can you see it?
Speaker Steve Suthers: Look at number three?
Speaker Blake Burnard: Yes.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Saw the shoulder his this is the same guy. It's how his shoulders look on number three.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Mhmm.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Now you go look at number one. Mhmm. There's a huge difference in the story.
Speaker Blake Burnard: It looks like pauldrons, Blake, armor sets.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yes. They've they've been inserted. Something has been inserted in there to make them balloon up.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Now they stay like that. Is that permanent or is that something you have to re up on? I'm sure that's gonna be cancerous.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Right? Depending on the type of oil you used, the body can suck it up and get rid of it. But if you use too much, it's I've gotta I got a buddy of mine who, used a lot of Syntthol. He's no longer the big giant man that he was. But when he walks into a room, he's got a twenty two inch calf that just looks like it never moves. And he's got this he's got a thirteen inch arm but he's got a big twenty four inch arm tricep pay off the back end of it. Yes.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Does it look Blake? Yeah. Man.
Speaker Steve Suthers: It's a it is a picture perfect horseshoe on a thirteen inch arm that just sticks out like a four you know, like, You see a big lifted truck with a tire stick out this side? His arm sticks out just like that. Absolutely. Yes. I don't know if he got implants or not. Now they think about it. Remember when he did his caps. I thought he was another buddy of mine, because he never had caps. He would top three the USA's, but he couldn't crack the top because he didn't have She was a cross fit, cross country runner. Oh, and I was sitting, sitting at, way back in the day. You, you're not old enough to remember this. But Marie Calagers used to have an outside bar at the Valley Plaza.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Okay.
Speaker Steve Suthers: So I'm sitting outside of the outside bar and I see him walking up. And I'm assuming it's my my friend, Pat Mattsuda, because I see this perfect body with these giant calves. I'm all here comes Pat. And I'm waving and he got closer. I was like, oh, when did you get caps?
Speaker Blake Burnard: That's not something that grows untruth. Yeah. Well, okay. Joyce Wall, I think we both agree. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Not Natty. Definitely on the oil. Yeah. Oh, this is a good one coming up. And the Photoshop. Oh, on this on this image?
Speaker Steve Suthers: Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Yeah. You need new doorways for that guy.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Jeff cavalier. Attach me up on this young man.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Well, he's not young anymore. The guy, he was one of the first to really do, like an, Blake, an athlete, athletic training, YouTube, and do this guy was so big. You've seen him before. Right? And he's he's not young by any means. But he probably started in the early two thousands Here's the thing about this guy. He's very, very lean.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Mhmm.
Speaker Blake Burnard: And I I would not attribute don't think he looks super abnormal on the leanest thing. He probably looks like a he's got a wide receiver type build, you know, very slight frame. It's the arms in that third photo that I'm like, that's hard to maintain. He's probably in his forties by now. You know what I mean? What are your thoughts on that? Because personally, I I believe I stood next to this guy. I and he's just wearing a shirt. I I probably wouldn't know him from John. But I feel like he has Really good looking arms for a dude that size.
Speaker Steve Suthers: One and four. He's Maddie.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Oh, yeah. One hundred
Speaker Steve Suthers: percent. Now, it's not testosterone that he's on, but he's on a hardening cutting agent that human body does not do that. Steve how his body looks in in number four.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Mhmm.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Like how his body looks in number two.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Mhmm.
Speaker Steve Suthers: He doesn't have that much water or fat to get rid of, but he came across harder and denser. Right. So the hard dense look can only be accomplished with certain drugs. So he has something, and a lot of times these guys can scream Natty because they're not taking steroids.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Yeah. So
Speaker Steve Suthers: so you're He is not taking steroids. So he is Maddie, but he is taking some sort of outside compound which could be Like what?
Speaker Blake Burnard: Climbutero and an oral?
Speaker Steve Suthers: Blake, anabar, clerm trim trinable trinibol and echo. I mean, it's a huge pleasure of things that he could be taking to make the body harden up like that. But he is taking some sort of outside thing to make the body the body harden up and get dents like that. The body does not does not carry that type of density.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Yeah. Because he looks rock solid. Yes. At that I mean, the slight frame.
Speaker Steve Suthers: You look at number one, and and you can just go like this. Okay.
Speaker Blake Burnard: But no oil in that guy.
Speaker Steve Suthers: No. No oil. Okay. Yes. Definitely no oil.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Okay. Oh, the next one. We all know this guy. Halfor Bjornsson, the mountain. Okay. Let me just say. I'm a big fan. The the Lord only made so many of these people.
Speaker Steve Suthers: You know, he's the rest of the family? No way. Guess, have you seen his brothers? They're all bigger than you? No.
Speaker Blake Burnard: I don't
Speaker Steve Suthers: see that. Yes. His brothers are bigger than him.
Speaker Blake Burnard: What are they called?
Speaker Steve Suthers: Oh, I don't know. Yes. I have, his pop is sitting in, in the living room. It sits at the front door.
Speaker Blake Burnard: That's wild. Okay. So, we gotta look at some some images because he's gone through a couple transformations over the years. He started looking a lot better when his Hollywood career took off. Yes.
Speaker Steve Suthers: I
Speaker Blake Burnard: remember like Game of Thrones. Was I felt like peak, half Thor Bjornsson, and I and I correct me if I'm wrong. He started working with Stan Effording around that time. Who really helped him lean out and get out of that, like, strong man build.
Speaker Steve Suthers: He, he did what he wanted to do. He got his one mister. He's got his one strong man title. And it just devoted himself full time.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Oh, no. I guess it got leaner since then.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yeah. No. He was still when he was, when he was the mountain, he was still competing in world's strongest Correct. So he was still competing in the Correct.
Speaker Blake Burnard: But look at look at the difference. Right?
Speaker Steve Suthers: Oh, yeah. Well, that Go up
Speaker Blake Burnard: to the top row, mister Alex. Yeah. See those middle ones. That's called You looks great, buddy.
Speaker Steve Suthers: That's called a lot of testosterone and a lot of food.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Yes.
Speaker Steve Suthers: That's a happy life. That is a happy life
Speaker Blake Burnard: right there. If you're serious eating videos,
Speaker Steve Suthers: to look like a happy life.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Thousand calories a day.
Speaker Steve Suthers: That is a happy life. Number one is him not being on so much tests, and that's when he wanted boxer, and he was watching what he's eating. He gotta probably got a coach to eat to help him eat. That's incredible. Okay. But He doesn't look like an abuser. Right? Not anymore.
Speaker Blake Burnard: No. You think any of those were?
Speaker Steve Suthers: Oh, Oh, those guys I
Speaker Blake Burnard: don't know what the testing protocols or for, like, I don't know how What what what what what what what what testing protocols? For do they have it for world's choice, man? At that level, the highest level? No? Oh, okay. That's dangerous.
Speaker Steve Suthers: You wanna watch the guy flip the car, you wanna watch the guy struggle. You wanted You wanted to flip the card.
Speaker Blake Burnard: I have been okay. If they test in, in the UFC, I just imagine. No,
Speaker Steve Suthers: they got rid of that too.
Speaker Blake Burnard: No. Yeah.
Speaker Steve Suthers: So you actually just got rid of it.
Speaker Blake Burnard: No. No. No. No. No. You misread. No. You saw it did them dirty, and now they're going over to a different federation or something like that.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Uh-huh. The one they use in Japan. That allows more. Have you seen the guys that fight in Japan?
Speaker Blake Burnard: Yeah. I didn't know who they who they ended up going with. But, yeah, I re I read it and I go, man. I'm all about it. Oh, this who's this guy? Oh, we might have our first that's not. Yeah. Joe Wicks. Wicks Wicks, no, that's the no. Hey, come on, Alex. What's
Speaker Steve Suthers: he's definitely Photoshop. But, I'm a give him his Naddy card. He's got a full hair to him.
Speaker Blake Burnard: You have to walk people through that one. There's one of them in jeans right there.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yeah. Well, number four is that's definitely Photoshop. It's definitely Photoshop. I can't
Speaker Blake Burnard: see behind this behind this camera, but Why? Tell her tell her audience how you can
Speaker Steve Suthers: pick that up? I'm looking number looking at number two right here. Looks pretty soft. It's soft. It's the same body. If you move it back that, move it back, move it back up. Now watch. It's the same body. It is the same.
Speaker Blake Burnard: And you're looking at the dimensions. Right? You're looking Blake the wideness, It's it's it's it does look like that.
Speaker Steve Suthers: It's Photoshop. He's got the same body and there's the he he's marketing himself. You know, Tan chisel is a nice mark. He's natty. You're not gonna get deep striated abs without some sort of photoshop or drugs. So those are his two options to market that fig picture. Fair enough. And, he I mean, that's a natural physique. That is what a a natural man looks like.
Speaker Blake Burnard: I feel like he'd do well to grow some forearms. I thought, am I wrong? Well, he Does the lower arm get judged in bodybuilding? Like the lower leg? You know what I mean?
Speaker Steve Suthers: When it when you have a pair of
Speaker Blake Burnard: I'm just not scared of this guy.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Was it the hair? No.
Speaker Blake Burnard: No. I just feel like he has noodles for arms. With I I I don't know. I just think
Speaker Steve Suthers: What does he do? What does he do? What's his I wanna know what is he
Speaker Blake Burnard: creates content for people of all abilities is what it said. Whatever that means. Hit workouts, fifteen second recipe videos on social media. Okay. Okay. CookBooks.
Speaker Steve Suthers: It's easy.
Speaker Blake Burnard: It's this thing.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yeah. I didn't say he's an easy guy. Okay.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Alright. Joe, we like you, man. We endorse Joe. Yeah. Okay. Sean Casey, know this guy? His his his profile is a picture of food. So
Speaker Steve Suthers: Hey, I like him already.
Speaker Blake Burnard: There we go. Oh, as an American baseball Blake. No way. Well, I've seen that guy before. I don't think this is the right guy. We'll have to skip one. Thomas Ma, you familiar with this guy?
Speaker Steve Suthers: No. I
Speaker Blake Burnard: feel like we're really insulting some people tonight.
Speaker Steve Suthers: I I I I'm not no Thomas mom. I've I've guessed Maybe I, if you're not alpha enough for me, I'll skip past your picture.
Speaker Blake Burnard: And, hey, it's not our fault. You're not coming up on, Google SEO.
Speaker Steve Suthers: You're talking about my TikTok Street. Right. That's right.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Okay. I think that was him up top. Okay. Is this? It's scary stuff. Okay.
Speaker Steve Suthers: I was gonna say, hold on. I might take I might have to take back my whole alpha thing right here. It's like I had his fingers. That come over and choke me out to make it right.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Far right. Okay.
Speaker Steve Suthers: So, nah, it's not nanny. That's not nanny. Steve what see how it's got the bloated look. Okay.
Speaker Blake Burnard: But he's got the same shoulders that we saw from Joey Swool. So do you say oil on this one? Good picture. Good. Great lighting. That's what you're saying.
Speaker Steve Suthers: So it makes it pop. But the see how the face, the the sure. It it He's standing in the sun already having his blood pressure's probably 02:10 over 01:50 because he's in the sun with that much Hey. I I I I I need to
Speaker Blake Burnard: speak from experience.
Speaker Steve Suthers: From experience. Fair enough. For, we
Speaker Blake Burnard: What's a good lighting setup? Wait. Can do you know without even stepping under it, like, the positioning of the lights?
Speaker Steve Suthers: I I I did. I had a real quick close friend of mine. He we used to do things together. And in his downtime, he worked in a lot of big Hollywood movies. He's a stuntman, and he was, does a lot of big Hollywood movies, and he would be bored in between shows and come down and shoot video content with me at the shop. So he'd bring all these lights and explain to me how the shadows and you want your shadow to be perfectly under your foot.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Oh, so so the light's gotta be right over
Speaker Steve Suthers: You you gotta have them everywhere, so there is no shadow. Sure. So you want your shadows to come up, so it makes everything enhanced. Yeah. No. It's Shadows come up so everything's enhancing.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Okay. Okay. That's interesting. Like, you know, there's nothing up, but down. There's gym and talent. Yeah. So, like, every made its own posing room, so I'm sure they did was they got can lights and just, like, you gotta know where the lights are, but
Speaker Steve Suthers: they probably didn't under one. I mean, have you seen their polishing room? And I'm not knocking them.
Speaker Blake Burnard: I I like all those guys.
Speaker Steve Suthers: I like all those guys.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Love them.
Speaker Steve Suthers: They're, they're posing with me shadows. Wasn't that the point? No. Yours you want this big thing right here. It has to blind you out. Because when you when you get on stage, your Photoshop picture is not getting on stage with you.
Speaker Blake Burnard: But they didn't do it for that.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yeah. I know they did. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But this
Speaker Blake Burnard: is the
Speaker Steve Suthers: you want this type of lighting. You want bright none. So when you go throw your quad, Blake, like, oh, there's no cuts there. If you have shadows, it looks real good.
Speaker Blake Burnard: But that's the point. And
Speaker Steve Suthers: You can't take your Photoshop picture with you on stage.
Speaker Blake Burnard: If you want a bunch of eight gen zers at your gym Yes. You better have something that makes them look really good.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yeah. And they all do.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Yeah. Taggots. Okay. Hey. It was super smart on their part, by the way. We're not knocking
Speaker Steve Suthers: out of it. Yeah. No.
Speaker Blake Burnard: The lean machines. Oh, so is this a is this a couple or what is this? By
Speaker Steve Suthers: this day and age, you don't know?
Speaker Blake Burnard: The lean machines. Leon and John. Oh, if there's anything wrong with that?
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yeah. No. I was just saying in this day and age.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Elaine machines, lean machines. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker Steve Suthers: I think they go to Starbucks together in the afternoon.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Yeah. The guy on the left looks like a passion fruit guy.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yes. Definitely. Okay. Alright. Well, Yeah, Maddie.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Nothing to say there? Okay. Right.
Speaker Steve Suthers: It's boring. I wouldn't I wouldn't stick around and watch it.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Nile? Niga. He's a k pop goku. Look at that. Goku. That's a pretty cool, name. Does that mean he sings?
Speaker Steve Suthers: Oh.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Yeah. Good good luck remembering the spelling of that.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Baby girls get into k pop and it makes me giggle. Alright. Asians are the you know, it's gonna sound
Speaker Blake Burnard: really racist.
Speaker Steve Suthers: It's gonna sound really racist. Asians are the new black. They have beautiful, beautiful bodies. Unfortunately, for Asians, you know, it's sorry, you guys, you guys are only five two.
Speaker Blake Burnard: But that's the misleading part.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Right? They are beautiful. I mean, you look at that's a beautiful body, right there. Number one, that is a beautiful body. He's not natty, but he doesn't have any oil. Everything is beautiful. It's perfect. It's just it's that is an aesthetic look right there.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Why do you think that is?
Speaker Steve Suthers: Just the way everything flows off the Xfinity? No. No.
Speaker Blake Burnard: No. No. I'm, like, not our viewers are are mature. Enough to know what we're talking about.
Speaker Steve Suthers: I hear that hood on a bit
Speaker Blake Burnard: number two. When you say that Asians have a particular build, has it always been that way, or are they just coming out onto the scene a little bit more now?
Speaker Steve Suthers: They're coming out to the scene a little bit more. They they've been around, but on like I said, that guy, he looks beautiful. Like, that huge chest. He gotta, like, throw back Arnold Schwartzneger chest. It just sits out Blake Arnold's used to do back in the night. Mhmm. Just a big giant hood that small vacuum to waste the the way the obliques tie right in. It's beautiful. Mhmm. But the problem is he's probably five, two, three, four, five. I mean, and I'm being generous, Yeah. And I'm I'm probably in my luck. It'd be six foot, and I'll look stupid. But then you go stand him up next to Seabump.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Right. Right.
Speaker Steve Suthers: He's gonna get washed out.
Speaker Blake Burnard: And here's what
Speaker Steve Suthers: ends up happening. These guys I mean, the you see these guys and they're absolutely have beautiful physiques.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Five seven.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Oh. Hey. Yeah. One sixty five. And we know five seven means five five.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Alright. Last one, let's round this thing out. Number thirteen, The Stolten Suthers, we got another couple guys. I've I'm not familiar with this. Does that does that just mean I'm out of I'm out of touch? No.
Speaker Steve Suthers: It just means that that today sucks. They don't back in the day, we could pick up a magazine and read these about these guys.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Yeah. That's true.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Now, you do your YouTube.
Speaker Blake Burnard: That'll be our next up. So best eighties action heroes.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Okay. Maddie ish. That's interesting. Ish. They're not natty, but they're ish because they're not on a ton.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Yeah. I'd have to agree with you.
Speaker Steve Suthers: After Ruth. Oh, those are well fed big boys.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Oh, so these are world strong cement competitors?
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yes. These are well fed big boys. They're they're taking up a lot of oxygen when they come into the room.
Speaker Blake Burnard: I'm saying, yeah, and you can tell these are these guys are tall.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yes.
Speaker Blake Burnard: 03:50 plus.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Oh, yeah. These are big ones. And apps. These are the big ones.
Speaker Blake Burnard: But again, I have a hard time because I played with guys that look this, man. Yeah. So And I was full of them. You know what I mean?
Speaker Steve Suthers: Alright.
Speaker Blake Burnard: So no oil, but No oil. But to be to stay competitive, probably take something.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yes. Sure. You can see you can see how the skin, skins have got that blotchy look. It it it just it's a it's a giveaway.
Speaker Blake Burnard: I still don't know what you mean by blotchy
Speaker Steve Suthers: Okay. Let's go back up to, picture number. Come back down. Do where they're in their kilts? Okay. Pull the Kilt picture up.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Oh, no. We Scottish. Okay. See how it doesn't
Speaker Steve Suthers: look tight and hydrated. Yes. It almost looks like they're carrying a layer of body fat.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Now it's not that's a better
Speaker Steve Suthers: fat. It it's it's estrogen.
Speaker Blake Burnard: So
Speaker Steve Suthers: and it's just because the chemicals are causing the body to do certain things.
Speaker Blake Burnard: I thought estrogen made you look more no. It it Hydrated. Like softer?
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yes. And that's what's going on. Different kind of soft.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Yes. It's a giveaway. Not soft and full. Yes. Okay. It's a
Speaker Steve Suthers: it's a giveaway. Because it it has a a blotchy look. It it doesn't
Speaker Blake Burnard: look healthy, understood. Understood. Well, I can I can tell you one thing they've got us beat on? They they wear exactly two more kilts than you and I have been seen wearing on the show.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Will wear my laugh a lot for next time. You have one? Yeah. I've got several. Oh, wait. Oh,
Speaker Blake Burnard: I mean, that's a skirt.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yes. No. Don't say that a lot. These polynesians might eat you alive. What you said.
Speaker Blake Burnard: That's okay. Hey, next episode, we will have Steve on air. You guys are gonna want to tune in on YouTube because if you wanna see him in a kill We're gonna make him cross his legs though. Okay? And, Alex, you're welcome. Yeah.
Speaker Steve Suthers: I thought because it wouldn't be traditional.
Speaker Blake Burnard: We could just keep an emoji right over here. Yeah. What do you mean?
Anyways, that was fun, man. I mean, not all those guys were on things. I was actually surprised. Maybe I'm just Blake, little jaded towards the whole, like, influencer thing. I expected everybody to be on something and it to be egregious.
Speaker Steve Suthers: I mean, you look at the ones that weren't. Did we know who they were?
Speaker Blake Burnard: You guys have a favorite or, an at least favorite? The dagger. Do I have a favorite? I'm partial to the big guys. Man. I'm partial to the dudes that are not five foot Steve, but are Blake six nine, you know. And look that that great. Again, I just always go back to the the Ron Wolf code. It's like man, the lord only put so many guys like that on planet earth. That's the the the Anakim or, you know what I mean, from, deuteronomy, they're just probably even bigger than the two
Speaker Steve Suthers: years ago. I I remember watching all those, ESPN's growing up world's strongest man was on TV, and I wanted that was wanted to be a world strong expander that I went to a competition. I was like, Well, god, you did not bless me with that height. Did you?
Speaker Blake Burnard: Yeah. Gonna have hard time with Steve. Yeah. Yes. You know, leverage is matter and and you'd that doesn't get explained to you in in strength pursuits, things become a lot easier with longer levers. And, you know, ultimately you wanna turn your body into the most the craziest catapult you can, you're gonna need long limbs. You know, some people are blessed with it. Some people aren't. So anyways, that was a fun practice, man. I'm tempted to say we should do it with, you know, NFL athletes and things like that, but well, some of those guys I might know, so maybe we could keep down the down low. Ultimately, man. I think that everyone could benefit from when I was an English teacher, I used to just total sidebar here. I I made it a point to to make a capstone project about identifying ways that you're trying to that companies try sued you in marketing efforts, social media, that kind of stuff. I think that this might sound silly, but I think it's important that people know how to point the stuff out.
Speaker Steve Suthers: Yes. Yeah.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Look at what just happened in Liberty. Right?
Speaker Steve Suthers: Only fooled because you wanna be fooled. But then again, Bailey Bailey Bailey said, Suthers born every day and I'm it's my job to
Speaker Blake Burnard: take his money from him or something like that. Exactly. And so that's why we send everyone to Sportland or West because they're not going to get lied to, right? And they're not going to, I don't know, be be sold fool's gold saying that, hey, you can look like me or or or whoever
Speaker Steve Suthers: on these things right here, and it'll work. Man.
Speaker Blake Burnard: Yeah. Over the counter. Right?
Speaker Steve Suthers: Oh my goodness. Like I said, he didn't get Blake like that from
Speaker Blake Burnard: That's right. Well, that was a good plug. You pay me later. Okay. Guys, hey, this has been an awesome episode of muscle matters. You can find Steve at
Speaker Steve Suthers: Steve four two zero District Boulevard, more like the West.
